 There is accommodation in Manila to suit everyone, meaning that this really is a very accessible city. Hotels vary greatly, ranging from the smallest and most basic rooms, to luxury lodging in the form of penthouse suites, complete with pool and views of Manila Bay.
Although hotels here are generally slightly more expensive than equivalent accommodation in many other countries within South-East Asia, most are quite affordable and modern, and outside of the peak season (November to March), sizable discounts are likely. Air conditioning is usually included, along with other amenities. The very cheap hotels may simply provide guests with a fan, with bathrooms sometimes being shared.

Budget lodging in Manila is most easy to come by within the Malate area, with cheap hotels being located along streets such as the Adriatico and the Nakpil. Both the Malate Pensionne and the Pension Natividad are amongst the most popular options in this part of the city, while in Ermita, look to the Mabini Street and Reyes Street for accommodation.
Conveniently close to Ninoy Aquino Airport and within the Paranaque area, the Manila International Youth Hostel on the Tomas Claudio Street is a good bet.
 Many of the hotels within Manila do tend to fall within the mid-range price bracket, being very plentiful along within the tourist belts of Ermita and Malate, and in the neighbouring city of Makati.
Nearby Quezon City is also home to further popular hotels, particularly along the Tomas Morato Street and the Timog Avenue, while for luxury accommodation within Manila itself, consider the Pan Pacific on the corner of Malvar Street, or the Diamond Hotel on the Roxas Boulevard.
